Outlook Autodiscover SSL Certificate Warning
After upgrading from Outlook 2003 to Outlook 2007, Outlook displays a Security Alert: “The name on the security certificte is invalid or does not match the name of the site.”
Because the customer didn’t require the autodiscover function, the simplest way to supress the messge was to create a hosts file entry for the autodiscover host (autodiscover.[email domain]) pointing to 0.0.0.0.
